Summer Scene at The Little School combines the fun of a summer camp with early childhood learning in a structured, nurturing environment under the guidance of our experienced Summer staff. Children enjoy adventure filled days that incorporate active athletic play, swimming at the Scarsdale Pool, art projects, music, play centers, and plenty of time outdoors. Each week features a different Theme Adventure or Special Event, creating added excitement and learning opportunities. This engaging agenda gives children a chance to expand their talents & interests, build self-confidence and create lasting friendships.

Facilities include 8 large, air-conditioned classrooms, each with en-suite child-sized lavatory, 2 newly renovated enclosed playgrounds, a large, temperature controlled indoor gymnasium, and access to the Scarsdale Village Pool Complex.
Our Staff
Our highly qualified staff will consist of 1 Group Leader and 2 Teaching Assistants in each classroom. Summer Scene staff consists of current staff and college students.
Class Size
Our 2’s classes are limited to a maximum of 12 children. The 3’s classes are limited to a maximum of 18 children. The 4’s classes have up to 21 children.
Food
Each day the children are served a healthy snack and nutritious lunch prepared in our on-site kitchen. KBLS is a nut-free facility and we accommodate allergies.
Days/Times
Our 7 week program runs from Monday – Friday:
- Morning 2’s 9:00-11:30
- Half Days (For 3’s only) 9:00 – 1:00
- Full Days 9:00 – 3:00
- Breakfast Club* 7:00 – 9:00
- Extended Day* 3:00 – 5:30
