Music
Music is basic to early childhood and is a natural expression of children. Our music activities are a daily event, even spontaneous and interrelated to other events during the school day.
Children are introduced to a variety of songs and music concepts such as active listening, fast and slow, loud and soft, high and low sounds, and beat. A specialist contributes to the children's ongoing enjoyment of songs and games.
Art
There are few areas that integrate the curriculum and stimulate pre-K children as much as art. From
finger painting to gluing leaves and flowers on paper to making objects with clay, art helps children grow creatively, socially, physically, emotionally and intellectually. Our curriculum emphasizes the process approach where children are exposed to a variety of media and allowed to explore and create in ways that are after open ended.
Creative Movement
Our partnership with the Jump for Joy provides children with an opportunity to experience the joy of movement and dance and self-expression. Weekly dance classes enhance each child's body and
rhythmic creativity and self-esteem.
