The Little School: Curriculum
The Little School program follows an early childhood curriculum with experiences in science and nature exploration, social studies, reading and math readiness, computers, life experiences, music, art, cooking, gym and the enhancement of social skills.

The curriculum has been structured to foster the development of important basic skills. We encourage our children to be enthusiastic readers, writers, and excited about mathematics. They become practiced in the arts of observation, creative thinking, and problem solving. We also provide an introduction to social studies and science. Music, drama, physical education, and movement/skill building classes are vital extensions of our more formal classroom activities.

The development of our curriculum is an ongoing process. Because children learn with their entire beings and have an innate desire to master their world, we believe that they learn best in an emotionally supportive atmosphere, through experiences that grow out of the environment and resources at hand. The curriculum follows a sequential plan from the threes to the young five-year-olds.
